Joscha Steffens

The main concern of Joscha‘s work is an ongoing research on war and aesthetically staged violence within international gaming communities. His works consist of photographic series, video loops and installations deploying the documentary approach of his practice.

Joscha Steffens graduated from Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig and completed the Postgraduate Programme of Kunsthochschule für Medien in Cologne. 2016/17 he was taking part in the Artist in Residence programme of Rijksakademie van beeldende Kunsten and continued his research as fellow of the research group 2020 at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies.
